Terms of Use

Effective October 9, 2026

The short version: Grava estimates calories to help you keep a food log. Estimates are approximate and aren't medical or nutrition advice. Grava is for people 13 and older. Extra companions are optional one-time purchases through Apple. You can delete your account at any time.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Grava app and this website. By using Grava, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you got Grava from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard license agreement also applies. Where the two differ, these terms add to Apple's agreement and don't replace it.

Who can use Grava

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your region if that's higher. If you're under 18, use Grava with a parent or guardian's involvement.

Estimates are estimates

Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple and are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account and all its data at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account.

Purchases

Grava is free. Extra companions are optional, one-time purchases. They aren't subscriptions and never renew. Apple processes every payment. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Unlocked companions are tied to your Apple ID. Use Restore Purchases on the companion screen to bring them back on a new device.

Using Grava fairly

Don't misuse Grava. For example, don't try to get into other people's data, overload or attack the service, reverse-engineer it in ways the law doesn't allow, or use it to break the law.

Our content

Grava's name, icon, companions, artwork, and app are ours or our licensors'. Your food log is yours. We use it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Grava running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available". Features, including cloud estimates, may change, pause, or stop. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be called out in the app.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Grava and its makers aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
